We were contacted by Marie, a certified home organizer active in Wallonia, because she was missing an element essential to any independent activity in her sector, that of existing and being visible online. She had no way to present her activity professionally before contacting us. After an initial contact, she clearly defined her need to have her own website that would give her visibility, that would clearly present her services, and that would allow her to be easily contacted by future clients.

The choice of design and platform

As with many of our projects when we start from scratch, we first submitted several design proposals to Marie, and she chose the graphic palette herself, the one that best matched her image and her activity.

She clearly expressed the wish to be able to publish and edit her website herself, and after discussion, for the platform, our choice fell on WordPress. Even though many solutions exist today, it remains a widely used tool, well documented and therefore accessible to everyone, with an ease of integration if Marie wishes to develop her site further in the future.

Beyond the design, the challenge was also to cover the concrete needs of an independent professional, presenting her services clearly, allowing simple contact, and providing a space to publish content regularly. On the site, we therefore included a detailed presentation of her services, a contact form, and a blog that she can update herself.

The home organizer profession is carried out mainly on a local level, in Wallonia in this case, so we also worked on the site's search engine optimization around this reality by incorporating a structuring of titles and meta tags, a clear hierarchy of content, and a regional targeting built directly into the texts, rather than generic content that does not mention where she operates.
